Dunedin Peace Cornering
Every Wednesday, 4:30 - 6 PM
Edgewater Dr and Main St
In Front of the Dunedin Marina (map)
Hopefully
you are reading this because you are considering joining us one
afternoon! We are an eclectic group who stand with our signs facing the
traffic because we have a strong belief in peace and justice. While the
faces have changed in Washington, the occupations of countries have
not, so we will continue to be on the streets until such time
that there is no more world damage being done in our names.
The Dunedin Peace group has been meeting for over four years now.
Participants come and go as their lives make demands of them. We won
Creative Loafing's "Best Weekly Protest"
in their Best of the Bay 2008 awards and were referred to in one of
their articles about us as being "quirky". That's as good a description
as any other.
While it is fair to say we believe in hope (or why would we keep
going), we know that it will take action to end the occupations of Iraq
and Afghanistan as well as the drone bombings of Pakistan and the
horrors inflicted upon the people of Gaza. We are not going away. You
can find us any Wednesday. Peace!
